מחבר הספר 'אינטליגנציה רגשית' שהוא ספר חשוב בפני עצמו. בספר זה מתאר גולמן את תפקודי המוח הקשורים לפן החברתי בדרך יחסית פשוטה וקלה להבנה. אמנם ההתייחסות לאוטיזם בפרק 9 היא מעט מיושנת, אך עדיין הספר בהחלט מומלץ.
